Spotlight, from Open Road Films and directed by Tom McCarthy, opened last week in theaters and will open in more this coming week. Spotlight is the true story of the team at the Boston Globe in 2002 that uncovered the global scandal of child abuse by Catholic priests. The film has received fabulous reviews, tallying up 97% positive on rottentomatoes.com. The Gotham Independent Film Awards created a special jury prize for the cast, and The Santa Barbara Film Festival just announced a special ensemble award for the cast to be presented in February. The film stars Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Brian D’Arcy James, and Liev Schreiber. BFD created the understated titles for this must-see picture.
