Luckiest Girl Alive

Big Film Design is pleased to announce that one of our recent projects, Luckiest Girl Alive, has just been released in theaters, and will start streaming on Netflix on October 7th.

Luckiest Girl Alive is based on a 2015 New York Times Bestselling mystery novel written by the American author Jessica Knoll, who also wrote the screenplay. The film stars Mila Kunis, and is a dark journey into the heartbreaking, life-altering consequences of sexual abuse.

BFD was tapped to bring a poetic end title sequence to the film, that alludes to birth, death and rebirth, through the imagery of a single time-lapse rose blooming. BFD Creative Director Randy Balsmeyer worked with Director Mike Barker, to bring the concept to life.

Luckiest Girl Alive centers on Ani FaNelli, a sharp-tongued New Yorker who appears to have it all: a sought-after position at a glossy magazine, a killer wardrobe, and a dream Nantucket wedding on the horizon. But when the director of a crime documentary invites her to tell her side of the shocking incident that took place when she was a teenager at the prestigious Brentley School, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to unravel her meticulously crafted life.
