As the holidays approach, we here at BFD have a lot to be thankful for. We’ve been busy on several big projects that are now arriving for your viewing pleasure.
Spotlight, from Open Road Films and directed by Tom McCarthy, opened last week in theaters and will open in more this coming week. Spotlight is the true story of the team at the Boston Globe in 2002 that uncovered the global scandal of child abuse by Catholic priests. The film has received fabulous reviews, tallying up 97% positive on rottentomatoes.com. The Gotham Independent Film Awards created a special jury prize for the cast, and The Santa Barbara Film Festival just announced a special ensemble award for the cast to be presented in February. The film stars Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Brian D’Arcy James, and Liev Schreiber. BFD created the understated titles for this must-see picture.

Season 4 of Unforgettable begins on Friday November 27 on A&E. The series stars Poppy Montgomery as Carrie Wells, a NY police detective with a super-memory. Dylan Walsh co-stars. La La Anthony joins the cast this season as the medical examiner. BFD’s Randy Balsmeyer was the on-set VFX Supervisor for all of Season 4. Look for the “traveler” scene in every episode, where Carrie goes back in time and sees herself remembering critical details.
